Our Robotics Journey
Gadget Girls 4816 has been part of the FRC for over a decade and has consistently improved every year. Our team is dedicated to empowering women in STEM to push the boundaries of robotics and creativity. We want to work against the stereotype that women, specifically neurodivergent women, can't thrive in STEM. We are passionate about robotics and strive to make a positive impact through our work.
Our team is comprised of diverse and talented individuals who bring unique perspectives and skills to the table. Together, we design, build, and program robots that demonstrate both our creativity and technical expertise. We are committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone can thrive and contribute to our shared success.

Team
History
Gadget Girls Team 4816 was founded in 2012 in association with Girl Scouts North Carolina Coastal Pines in Raleigh, North Carolina. They competed in their first season in 2013. At the time, we pioneered women's representation in STEM, by being the only all-girl team in North Carolina. In 2019, we became an official Girl Scout specialty troop. As of 2025, we are one of three all-girl teams in North Carolina and the only Girl Scout FRC team in NC. Our awards include: Team Spirit Award (UNC Pembroke, 2025) Imagery Award (Wake 2016, Campbell University 2016), Winner THOR-Thundering Herd of Robots (2015, 2016). In 2025 we have 17 team members representing 5 counties in NC.

Empowering Through Robotics
At Gadget Girls 4816, our mission extends beyond robotics. We are dedicated to empowering individuals, especially young girls, to explore the exciting world of STEAM through robotics. By working with Girl Scouts, communities, and organizations, we aim to inspire the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers.
We are committed to igniting a passion for robotics and technology, fostering an environment where creativity and curiosity thrive. Through our outreach initiatives we strive to create opportunities for individuals to develop essential skills and pursue fulfilling careers in STEM fields.
